Hi LittleMissThin,
I was banded on 17/8/12 with THG, my surgeon was David Hewin. I arrived at 10am, was allowed water til 11.30 and was due in theatre at 4.30pm, was slightly later, just after 5!
I too had a room by the animal sanctuary, but love animals so didnt mind the Cockerels, sheep etc lol!! Maybe take ear plugs!
I was very lucky and had very little trapped wind(get some windeze/deflatine) and my scars have healed lovely so far.
Just do exactly as they tell you and you'll be fine!
I'm 5 feet tall and weighed 12st 2 at consultation, went on hols and put on 9lbs, so was 12st 11 for surgery, I didnt have to do a pre op diet either which is good as I was on hols! I have lost 1st 3 lbs in 5 weeks which im very pleased with. Its slowing down now but a pound a week i'll be happy with!
