As for giving up smoking...it is not easy but so worth it!

should be 4 to 6 weeks time they are going to give me a call. He said he wants me off the fags for 4 weeks prior to the op so I am giving up tonight.

I was a very heavy smoker and I loved my fags...

Giving up smoking for me was like saying good bye to a loyal friend who was always there for me through so many ups and downs in life but unfortunately was killing me.

Almost 12 years later I am so very happy that I did.

The last time when I was successful ...I sat and smoked my last couple of fags and I allowed myself to enjoy everyone of them.

Before when I tried to give up I would throw them in the fire or drown them...and a few hours later running to the shop to buy some more after failing to dry them out.:sigh:

I too had to give up my 30 plus a day habit didn't want to but did pre op and 9 weeks on haven't touched them. I used the electric cigarette and found it really good. Good luck with giving up xx
