Hi guys just wondering wen I go to see my gp in the morning should I ask for wls or wait for them to sugest it? What did you guys do ? Xxxx

I asked to be referred. No point beating around the bush, this you life and health we are talking about. My GP was aware of different diets I had tried and she said I met the initial criteria and was quite supportive. Best thing I ever did :)
Good luck!!!

yup....ask for it!! x

yep, ask, good luck :) xxx

mine always told me they would never offer it to me even though they know i need it. i asked for it and was accepted first time :):) good luck honey let us know how you get on xxxx

Absolutely ask !!

If its what you want hun...then ask xx
my doctor suggested it, i went to him saying i could cope with the olistat ive tried all the diets done all the pills, im in pain... and he said... would you consider surgery? he then gave me a few leaflets and said... read these and come back in 2 weeks if you are interested. i knew in my heart this surgery would be my only option.. i couldnt carry on the way i was... and im so happy ive gone through it... no regrets xx
Goo Luck hun xx

Deffo ask, is your doctor aware of all your attempts at dieting. Mine had on my notes, tried weight watchers, slimming world, gym, xenical.
It all helps towards the referal they fill out for you

Hi well I went to the gp she has agreed that she will support me but I have to see a dietician and go to a weight management clinic for six month then I will get put forward for funding. I was hoping to avoid the six months as I no 100% it will not work but I have to put up with it. So overall it went well :) xxxx

That's a start hunni , it may be that your pct won't even concidered people who havnt done the weight management course , the hoops you have to jump through on the journey xx

Well done Jemma, that's the first step on your journey! I had to do the weight management too, it's one of the hoops many of us have to jump through xx

yay! you're on your way :) good luck xxx
