have you done EVERYTHING the PCT have asked and still got turned down?

I was turned down 3 Times but every time they said I hadn't fulfilled some criteria or other , I just kept doing it and no way was I going to give up and say ah well not for me then xxx but when I did get accepted I cried like a baby so I can't really say after I'd done everything they asked I was turned down , I truly hope they help you this time coz I can't think of anything you've not done xxx

Good Luck Vamp I realy hope its a yes for you xxx

mine where same reasons basically they thought I'd not followed dietician plan as they expected orlistat not for long enough there was another pill which I was never offered but they said I should've tried , another was hadn't lost as much weight as they expected , they said didn't reach pct requirements for co morbidities but doc had missed putting them on the form :( hope that helps but there are many reasons to be refused and many people . get accepted straight away xx

i have no idea samsara seen as they never explained any of it to me :( xx

Well, that is unfair and they should explain it to you in clear terms that you can understand  I would write to (or email) the PCT and ask them to clearly state the reasons to you if you get turned down again. But it could be a yes and we'll keep everything crossed for you on here that it will be! x x x :grouphugg:

yeah it happened to me, I was sent away and another appt was given to me to discuss options so I enquired re. wait times if I was accepted at the next appointment and was told it would be 5 months....not long when I've been waiting 4 years already, but I decided enough was enough and have today committed to go to Prague for the sleeve as I'm sick of having aload of bureaucrats turn me down when i'm soooooo ready to do this. Feb 25th is surgery day :)

Its madness this applying to be turned down!

I didnt apply, I saw a Specialist about my knees, he wrote to my Dr. Before I knew it he had referred me for WLS. Total time end of August to Jan 14 not even 5 months!

We should all be treated the same, its crazy, its like a lottery.

Keep fighting!! They need to justify why they say no and just keep giving reasons why they are silly not to do it. Main one being cost to the NHS if you remain overweight.

Soap Box anyone? ;) xx
