I have the hospital on the 17th regarding sleep apnea and i still have not recieved my letter with contact number reason for my post.... on the first appointment is it just for a chat or does it involve more ???
any way keep up the good work
take care and best wishes to all

Hi kp

glad to see you :) and that things are hopefully heading in the right direction.

Well done with attending the weight management programme.

When I had my app for the sleep apnoea there were 3 appointments all together.

App 1 (may).........consult with the specialist

app 2 (june)........go collect machine, use machine overnight and take back next morning

app 3 (july)......... go collect results from specialist who then sent them back to the wls people.

It is done differently in different places though.

Take care Xx

For me, at the Whittington, you have your initial appointment with the thorassic team to talk about your need for the test. Then you have the actual sleep study (at hospital or using a machine at home) and then you have to go back to get results if there is an issue. She said if there was no issue then they'd just call me, to save me going in again. Not sure whether the process will be the same for you!!
