Joined for support, got my bypass date. 11/07/2011. Crossing my fingers it all still goes ahead.

Anyone else going through the same at the moment.

Brilliant news x x

Fantastic. The time will fly by.

Excellent news, exciting times for you. :)

All being well mine is to be around the 17th June, slight hick up about notes not being updated to Bypass so slight delay until they have 2 surgeons available. Like you excited and frightened at the same time but definately can't wait for the new start and the chance to be slim for good this time.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I've just had my op but I remember thinking it was never going to happen, right up until I walked into the operating theatre. Congrats on getting your date and I hope you stick around and get to use all the brilliant support and info there is on this forum. I couldn't have got through the last few months without it .

Hi and brilliant news on your date x

Thanks for all the messages. Not on the milk diet, surgeon has him own, which was a relief. He has given me one with clear soups, eggs, chicken and salad. I have to give up milk so will miss my SF vanilla latte and diet coke! but all for the greater good!

I'm in Hampshire - just moved down from Manchester, so big changes all at once.

Thanks again for the support. But like everyone on the site, time for a change!

I plan on being honest with work. is that the best plan?

welcome to the madhouse, and brilliant news on getting your date through.

i've told my boss, even though its a long way off, because of the time off that would be needed

hi and welcome :D fab news about having a date for the op xxx

well done on getting your date
the time will soon fly in

I have told my boss and she seemed ok with it at first but now questions me all the time about it and as some are facing redundancy I fear for my job!!

I'll have the conversation. Redundancy gives you a chance to change more items in your life. Got made redundant last year, that is why i've now moved down south.
Horrible to go through, my company have put me through the process 4 times in 14 years.(i've even had to do it to other people) worry about what you can control.

redundancy is a chance to change only problem being the last 3 jobs j have gone they said I was too fat to work there. So hopefully I can hang on till I have had my surgery next year. then look for new job if I far made redundant will just have to suck it up !
