Hi everyone
Just starting in the long process of referal. Just wanted to say hi and say how much i've learnt by reading on/off the last couple weeks.
I will try in do my bit, but due to have op on elbow nerves on tues so may not be upto posting as dont know how much i will be able to do one handed, thank goodness its my left and i'm right-handed. :sigh:
You lot have keep me sane and motivated through the early hours. I dont get much sleep, hence I've already be up nearly an hour (omg dont realise how time just goes on the net).
Well if any of you have had the op and would like to offer advice it will be most welcome.
Keep up the great work:D

Hello and welcome Moonflower!

Sorry to hear about your arm...strangely I have same problem with nerves and wrist!...currently in plaster with left arm, after a recent wrist op! Have become a whizz typing 1 handed! lol

Ahyhoo...any questions, just ask away, there is always someone around to help! Good luck,

Kel xx

Hi Moonflower, love the name. Already said hi on other thread, but heres another hello and welcome anyways! lol

:welcome: you've arrived at the right place for info, advice, support or just somewhere to offload!

There are quite a few threads of people's post-op experiences, have a dig about and a read. No questions considered too sensitive. There's even a recent thread about resuming, ahem, intimacy post-op! All handled very sensibly, in the beginning anyway!

Hi moonflower, welcome to the crazy forum. The peeps on here are absolutly fab so join in and have a laugh (and cry) with the rest of us their knowledge and advice is brilliant so just ask and get help with the answers you needxxxGaynorxxx

Thanks everyone,
its so good to have you all with the wealth of info. I'm been put forward for band but am open to the idea of bypass. I've looked at both and prob for me the bypass would be better as can eat smaller frequent meals and cant exercise. I've even started to struggle to walk let alone do the bluming exercises the physio want me to do (she should have the same probs and see how she likes it !!!)
I'll reply to the posse now, thanks for the warmest welcome.
Still finding my way around so will hopefully be able to sort dates/stats out later.
Well done all on your journey's so far. I know some have had quite a few probs but got there in the end.
Hi Kel mine to is left and will be strapped up for about 6 wks, no driving for that time, its going to drive me mad!!! We live on a busy main rd with nothing around unless you walk into town which anyone could walk in 10 mins, it would prob take me at least 40 mins if i could even get that far, i'd need a ambulance by then!! lol

Good luck hun with your op..this is my second on this arm! Hopefully just in plaster til Friday now...cant wait to get it off!!!! Mine is still not fixed, another 2 ops ahead to look forward to....:( You will be fine I'm sure. I just find the not driving a complete nightmare, but hopefully u have a good support network around you. Just take it easy tho at first. I have had to give up work bcoz of my arm problems, so very bored and stuck at home!! lol...

My biggest prob is not being able to do my hair!! Yeah ok I'm vain...trying to teach my hub how to do it, but its not working..lol:rolleyes:

Best of luck with it, I can sympathise on the pain u must be getting from it!! Arm nerves hurt a lot..I know!!

Love Kel xx
