Honey and Lemon after bypass

Hi everyone
Haven't been on for a few days as been unwell, went to doctors today and have chronic bronchitis, and have an awful retching cough.
Does anyone know if it is ok to have hot water with lemon squeezed in it and then just a teeny bit of honey.
I told the doctor not to prescribe cough medicine as was afraid of dumping.

Depends on your own sensitivity. Personally I would try it, but in small sips, and watch out for early signs of dumping.
