Hormones?

Ladies, quick question for you...

I have severe boob-ache. It started 2 days ago and it is baaaaaaaad. I'm not due on, probably mid cycle, is this just the bypass sending my hormones crazy? At my last period I was pre-menstrual for over a week  which included the boob-ache but this is ridiculously early for it to start and not at all like me pre-op.

I know many of you have had erratic periods etc post op but mine have stayed regular, just an increase in boob-ache and womb-ache (never used to get womb-ache since I was a teenager), so this is new for me

Shel it could be due to increased blood flow that you are now getting painful periods apparently it is quite common after weight loss.

Hi Shel,
I see where your comin from Ive got a bicornate uterus, so ive never had a light period since I started at 11yrs old, as my womb is heart shaped and the mid of the heart goes almost to the entrance. So its like having two wombs and believe me i bleed like it too and the pain is immense!

I hope you get it sorted asap. There are fantastic specialists in this field. Unfortunately they want me to have the pill injection (which works in stoppin the pain and bleedin, but makes me put weight on 4 fun). They are great at their job tho and im sure they can find you a solution.

Take care and have a good xmas, R x

WLH please please don't have the injection without researching it thoroughly. I regret ever having it as I believe it is strongly linked with fertility problems in women.

Red thanks for that link, very helpful :)

HC didn't think of that, thanks. I can cope with the womb pain as paracetemol shifts it quite quickly.

I will research it now you have brought this to my attention shel. Thank you for letting me kno it could cause problems. Forewarned is far better than finding out a few years down the line and being devastated at the results. Im going to research it fully. Thank you again. Take care R x

Shell
Since having the bypass I get sore boobs and also noticed more womb pain too not sure why but not particulary bothered me to be honest just think its one of those things maybe we didn't notice before with all the other pain?

the joys of weightloss iv been on my monthlys for over 4 weeks now got to back to gp tomorow b4 surgery everything i ever had was blamed on being fat now everything is blamed on loosing weight:8855:cant win! vitimin b6 or evening primrose oil oone of these is great for breast ach i just cant remember which one lol

I swear by Evening Primrose Oil, I am ahem  rather blessed in the boob department (and that was before putting on weight) so mine get very sore. If its really bad I even have to wear a sleep bra in bed.

you can get sleep bra's? the worst pain is when i take my bra off, and trying to get comfy at night, will look into that.

ta for all the tips. used to take evening primrose when i was younger as i used to get sore boobs then, had completely forgotten. Next time i see gp will ask if it's ok to take again now.
