how long were you off work after bypass

Hi all :wave_cry: i am due to have my surgery on the 30th September at the Alexander hospital in cheadle i was wondering how long you were off work for after your op

It varies for everyone and on what you do.......

I orginally took two weeks off but was off for 3 in the end......

It depends on you and on what job you do. I was off for 2 1/2 weeks after my bypass, but I felt like I could have done with a bit more. My job isn't too physical and I can work from home whenever I want to, so I coped fine

i was off for 4 weeks only because i wanted to have my first check up before i went back.

I was off for 3 weeks, had intended to only be off for 2 but in the end i took 3 off.

hi i was off for 2 weeks. to be honest could have done with more was relly knackered. everyone is different see how you feel. good luck x

The tiredness is your body telling you to slow down, all your energy is going into heeling you inside, its deceptive because you have very little to show on the outside for all the trauma thats happened on the inside ! i still get veru tired even now 4 weeks post op.
