How much do you spend per month in the supermarket?

wow what a big difference thats brill x u can spend the diffence on new clothes :D

Yep, I do spend it clothes and that is how I afforded my trip home!!! I used to also buy more brand name food but now I buy the store brand when I can, that really helps costs. Also I hardly ever throw away fresh fruit & veg like I used to. I would buy it thinking 'I'll eat healthy this week' and then I would feel rubbish and order take-away instead. So...now that I hardly have take-away, I make my fruit and veg go farther oh and also hubby bought us a freezer for x-mas. I have saved LOADS by freezing leftovers and making big batches of food for future meals. Freezer cost was offset in less than 2 months!!!

Nic:D

Abu Dhabi is in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).
Thing is like 5-10 years ago everything was so cheap, combined with the no tax thing, it was a great place for people to come and work for a few years and save money to go back home with. But over the years as it grew, and became more popular the prices went up to take advantage of the tourists and expats!!

I know what you mean about getting used to the local stuff, but if you knew all the sacrafices and changes I have made in my life and things ive given up you would send me 2,000 pounds every month to buy stuff from my birth country!!! . . .:D

Id choose a muller light rice yogurt any day over a salty yogurt that tastes like . . . something else thats white . . . if you know what I mean!!!! :jelous:
