This WLS business is gonna be good for my impatience.

I have always been impatient and don't like to wait for anything. So this is gonna be a learning curve for me.

I really admire all you guys who have waited so long for your WLS. I just hope I can live up to a you all, youa re all amazing and long suffering. You have proved that you deserve your WLS. Just hope I can do the same.

I am the same lou, i hate waiting but this you have to. As they say good thing comes to those who wait!! Once you get into the system and things start happening i suppose its not so bad. Just hang in there my lovely xx

Lou, i'm the most impatient person in the world. If i want something i want it yesterday!!

I waited almost 11 months which felt like a long time going through it but when my op date was imminent i realised it wasn't so long....

Be patient your turn will come and you will go to the ball forever princess xx

Hello there

I have been waiting about 18 months and believe it or not it does go surprising quick, when I first started my journey I went through the motions of " I wont get referred" and then when I was referred I thought " the hospital wont take me on" but they did , even when I went too see the surgeon the first time I thought " his gonna say no" but he didnt and then things moved pretty quick for me as I dont have sleep apnea etc and funding was granted within 2-3 weeks.

I got my pre op next week and surgery next month (18th) and looking back I was thinking its gonna take forever and now I am thinking crikey its round the corner, its unbelievable that its next month , but hey presto it is .

The time has gone pretty quick considering how long ago I started this weight loss journey (for surgery) but its been the support of this forum and untold advice and tips and its been a real learning curve ( thank you 4 those who have given me advice and listened to me:thankyou. Tbh I am still finding it odd that this time in 5 weeks I will be banded:wow:. But the 18th months has given me time to find out all the information I needed and made my journey more bareable (if thats the right word)
