Hiya hun, really sorry that you are feeling so rotten. I am concerned about how ill you feel and would agree with others that you should have a chat with your team. They are responsible for your health and if you are suffering they must take you seriously. Please do make sure you follow-up with them as your health could be at risk.
Here are a couple of things to think about in the mean time.
1. Go back to liquids only for a few days, if you have been sick often you may not able to tolerate any solid food due to pouch swelling. Do the clear liquids only as if you just got home from hospital. Clear soups, s/f jellies, water, ice lollies, fruit teas, low-sugar hot chocolate, etc. - drink as much as you can tolerate and make sure to sip as often as possible on water.
2. Consider your emotional stress as Natalie rightly points out. You have just had major surgery and are bound to feel tired, uncomfortable and out of sorts - it is perfectly natural. But some people for no real reason, it seems random as there is no reliable way to predict it, just have a much harder time dealing with the pain/discomfort/depression that follows the surgery. Give yourself a break, it takes as long as it takes for you to feel okay again.
3. Address your feelings, they matter. You may be feeling worse because you are upset that you are not back to normal yet, and with the sickness you have felt you may be stressing out at meal times and then your pouch tightens in reaction to stress. So, try writing down how you feel. Just getting the feelings out sometimes reduces stress.
4. De-stress meal times - maybe instead of a designated meal time, you could have a few sips or bites several times per hour. That way there is no pressure to get all the food in. Give it a try. You can spread out your daily meals for now into 8x per day but only eat a little at a time.
5. Remember you are not alone, even if both your mother & your partner don't get what is going on with you, we all get it here!
So take our cyber ((hugs)) and keep us up to date on your progress.
Nic
