I'm back.....

candie

fabby not flabby :)
With my tail betwen my legs:eek::eek:.Have done fine in the wieght loss stakes so far, but am slipping back into eating crisps every day:eek::eek:, and drinking far too much alcohol:eek::eek:
Am by no means turning into an alchy, but have been in a new relationship for 5 months, and we do a lot of socialising, and drinking and eating out, so obviously the weight loss has slowed down a bit:(
Am back here beause I need the support and motivation I know my mates here can give me, as I can't lose the rest on my own:(
Have also not been eating enough protein, and having far too many carbs:(
Another issue is that I am getting a lot of diahorrhea, but looked on my calcium tabs the other day and they contain sugar!!!:eek::eek:They are the rank tasting lemon ones:rolleyes: oh and itchy skin which the do has checked and can't work out what it is, but i'm wondering if it's the lanzoprazole or iron tabs:eek:
Anyway hope you're all doing ok, I am back to stay so beware girlies:D:D

Glad to see you back Sal x try changing out one med at a time, lanzop can be changed for omeprazole, ferrous sulphate for ferrous fumerate or vice versa. Iron can cause the runs in some people, although in most it constipates.

Have you tried cutting out dairy to see if that helps your bowels? Sudden onset lactose intolerance is quite common post op. It shouldn't be the sugar in the calcium, as the actual quantity you eat is tiny. Lots of pills contain sugar, but 1 or 2g isn't going to set you off.

As for getting your eating back on track, what about the 5 day pouch test? It's designed to get rid of bad habits, reduce carbs, reaffirm restriction and get you back into the protein habit.

Hope that helps anyway, tis good to see you around x

You? Invisible? No chance!

Could it be IBS? that can be stress related.

Sorry to hear you're having family stress, but Congrats on the future grandchild, a new life is always a cause for celebration regardless of the numpty father ;)
