Hello again,
Thank you all for getting back to me.
Tendersage, Im going via the NHS Im going to the whittingdon it looks the best out of the choices I was given, I can get my appointment right now if I do it on line, But I want to speak to my GP this wed to make sure Im making the right choice.
Brett I see you are a whittington patient, how long as it taken you from your first consultaion untill now? {hope you dont mind me asking).
Im a little worried at the length of the appointment time I have serious pain issues and cannot sit for that length of time well not without fidgeting

, I have to go to a pain clinic every 3 weeks to have my pump filled with Morphine/clonididne and have to lie on one of the beds in the day unit so 3 hrs:sigh: I will have to ake plenty of oral morphine to take as a break-through back up prob there is that can make me drowsy this will be hard but I will persevere because I want it so badly.
Im worried that they will not take me seriously because Im not mega obese but I am still obese you will see my Bmi is 38.2 , I need them to see I am getting bigger and will continue to do so due to my lack of mobility! I cannot excercise so have just got bigger since my NHS surgery on my spine (see its their faults Im obese

) My pain consultant has problems refilling my pump at my 3 weekly refills and this can be dangerous as if he misses the port and injects the morphine into me I will be away with the angels.
I get scared that if I get much bigger the next time I ned a new pump they may say no and that means I will be left bed ridden , Im on the bed alot already due to bad pain, Im hoping losing some of the weight some of the pain may go too..
Jowood, Are you NHS or private? You seem to have got to where you are pretty quickly?
Those that are having your surgery NHS were you all in the criteria that they usualy ask for?
With regards to what surgery I would like, I though it would be gastric band but from what I have read if I had a bypass my medication would not be such an issue where the band would be; it means other alternatives etc, also I read with the banding there can be problems later on I know this is probably rare but knowing me l I would have them and Im in and out of hospital enough so don't want added hospital days in bed

.
I realise the bypass is more major and that they have problems too, its just personal choice and thats where I feel I am right now..
Im sure I will be back with more questions I hope you all don't mind.
Also feel free to put me right on anything you feel I have wrong in what I have researched, I want to get this right.
Again thank you all xx
