love ya to candie we each usually go to our own ppl thats had the same op so dont worry lol x

I don't know what to say but thank you xx

I'm just a regular guy who finds it easy to get things down in words and I'm an open book. I can't lie about things because I have a terrible memory due to a motorcycle accident when I was 19, in a coma for 4 days, but pulled through fine. The only after effects were terrible memory (Due to head trauma, swollen brain) and I smashed my left ankle, which caused me not to be as mobile for a long time and where I found food and began to put on my weight. To be a good liar, you need a good memory, so that's me up the creek without a paddle :D

So I just tell the truth, open my mouth and tell people probably to much information! But it's got me where I am today, I'm happy with almost everything, but will be totally content when I can ride that God damn bike without feeling stupid :D

Liz you're so right about us going to our own people "group" for advice. Thats exactly what I think even though we all encourage each other whether it be the same op as oursleves or a different op. We have all been, or are going through the surgical weight loss journey and we are all here for each other even if we can't always advise.
Jo (fgs),Nic (phatgirl),Carole (hopelesscase), Sam (Sambucca) Shell (shellbell) and of course Liz are the ones who's journey I followed before joining minis and to me all are so helpful.

thank you so much thats lovely. i always look at it from the point of view that if my experiances can help someone else great. i will share what i can and then its upto the individual to see if my way can help them or not.
take care

hiya carole, i agree sharing each others experiences is a great way to support others that will walk the paths we have walked, i strongly believe that support is a major part to the key to success for others that will be doing the same journeys as we have, thats why im so looking forward to doing the support group in september with my niece sarah as it will help so many people along there journeys and make new freinds to, ive made so many brilliant friends since my surgery its unbelievable xxx

What lovely posts from all of you, that made me feel great and the company I was included in is pretty amazing! You all know I practically live here and always throw my 2 pennies in when I have something to add. Glad that you find it helpful & hope I am able to continue to help where I can. I get alot out of this site so it is only far that I try to contribute.

You all are made of awesome so pat yourselves on the back, you deserve it!

Nic:)

agreed gaynor i always read nics posts x

aww what a lovely thread... theres many inspirational and kind hearted people on here.

Nic (PG), Carole (HC) Shel, silversurfer are all inspirational RNYers...

Liz is always kind and very supportive to the banders. Cazbandy and Serenity along with liz have shown how successful the band can be.

Its lovely to have some men posting more frequently and we have lots of new men folk that seem to be doing really well.

But my biggest inspirations and support are my two diamonds Angela and Terri, who are only relatively recently post op, but I know they will hold my hand every step of my journey and they have become cherished friends.

I love mini's!

There are so many inspirational people on here. Not just long termers, but those that have only just had surgery or not even ha it yet.

Gaynor (thinkbethin) - You alway are supportive of people no matter what their situation is.

Terri - Recent post op who is always up beat and has something positive to say

Sam (Sambucca) - Pre op, but is always there to offer advise especially to those that are currently waiting for their op.

This is a very inspirational site. Who thinks that they are motivate more thanks to minimins? Looking at my ticker certainly keeps me going!!!

Thank you :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Nic is one of my inspirations, even though technically she's a few months behind me time wise, but more because I know that she doesn't just post her opinions, but instead researches things and provides information to reinforce what she's saying. She's helped me so much, especially with post op pregnancy, and I'm proud to call her my friend :p

When I joined this section a month or so pre-op, it was a much quieter place. There were very few post op patients, mostly pre-op and those going through it all at the time. This section has grown so much over the last year and is a far better place for it.

im going to say everyone that i have read and replied to on this site have been an inspiration and a wealth of advise which I doubt I would have found anywhere else... well not put in such plain english anyway.
theres nothing better than people that have been there, done that to help you answer questions from the silly to the obvious.

thanks all ,im glad im a part of this forum :gen126:

p.s. mix can i have my £20 you owe me....remember ?? :rotflmao:
