In my research on a personal impact level I watched a blog on YouTube who had stated she was told this surgery ( gastric bypass) in the U.S will take 10-15 years off her life span. Has anyone been told the same in such blunt terms??

That's what I thought surely I was really shocked to hear that in blunt terms so hence me asking. Hmmm

That blog was obviously wrong, it's the other way around, not having the bypass will knock 10 to 15 years off or even more in the larger patient cases.

Unless it means you are more likely to die doing something stupid like absailing down a mountain or bungee jumping once you are thin, that might work
