BUGS BUNNY

does anyone know any good laxatives? I have tried senekot , dulclax, go -ezy, and some other fibre types and they don't seem to be helping. I drink plenty, eat fruit and veg, and enough roughage.

any suggestions/tips would be good

the best thing ever is Linseeds (can get them in most supermarkets and healthfood shops)

I've not had them for a few weeks now since my banding and really miss them. They're very effective but don't give you griping pain like some laxatives...just make you go very naturally  try them in yoghurt or with your usual cereal like a crunchy topping.

I'll be speaking with a dietician tomorrow and will be asking her if it's ok for me to use them again.

linseeds within 24 hours (and don't hurt)...I found benefiber made me drastically windy :eek::eek:

Prune juice - 12 hours and very naturally... If you don't mind the taste!

A good one is psylium husks from health food shops. Apparently it attracts water so firms you up when you are too loose and pulls in water so soften you up when you are constipated. The are lovely and gentle and don't cause cramping.

ty tasha. i might give the apricots a try if others dont , but i will give the syrup amiss as I cant tolerate sugery things at all
