NEED TO LOSE!
Hi everyone,

I had my bypass on Monday and came home on Tuesday. Everyday since, I have been feeling rotten!!! Very lightheaded and muzzy, my pain is wearing off nicely but I just feel like crap!!

Anyone else felt like this???

You came out quick! I went in on a Monday night Op Tuesday and wasnt discharged until the Thursday. I got tired a lot during the first week but other than that I wasnt too bad are you drinking enough and taking your vitimans

Pauline

I know, didn't really want to come out that quick, could have done with another night in, but, the hospital was nearly 40 mile away and was easy for me to go back with me Mum when she came to visit.

I have been drinking loads, only got kiddies vitamins as I cannot find any adult ones as yet. I going to the doc on Monday so hopefully he will prescribe some. Not that I will be able to get them, we are absolutely broke and on our backsides, the prescriptions costs will be too much. I do plan to get a pre-paid cert as this is loads cheaper.

I just hope, I feel better tomoz.

Tesco have a deal on at the moment buy 2 get 1 free I think I paid £6.00 for 3 months supply. Some of the health food shops like Holland and Barretts have better deals on take it easy for a few days it will do you no good to rush your recovery Pauline

No, all I got was 30 paracetamol, 5 clexane injections and a box of zoton!!

Hiya, when I was discharged I was told that my body would have stores of vitamins etc so don't worry too much in the first few weeks, i was cutting my normal ones in half and still struggling. Since then I found kids chewable ones which were only just over £1.50 in sainsburys... I am now able to take normal ones as I'm 6 weeks post op. Sorry for rambling, also wanted to say that I felt sooo tired for about five weeks... Mention it to gp tho... Hope you feel bette soon x

I had to go to my GP for my suppliments too.

Your body will be in shock cos you are only on Liquids. That makes you feel ligh headed and grotty. Give it time, drink lots and have yoghurt etc. Low sugar Ice lolliesa re good if youa re struggling also Mini Milk Ice lollies. Hope you feel better soon. x

Thanks Ladies, I will have a word with the doc. I was putting it down to my body and never having a general before!! xx

Sorry to hear you are feeling crap. I had my op on Monday as well and I am feeling fine but I'm not doing anything at all. Do you think you might be overdoing it?

I doing nothing, just getting up for toilet and a drink. I have got a 2 year old, but my husband is looking after her.

That's me. Bed to sofa to bed again with frequent trips to the loo in between. I hope you feel better soon.

On the vitamins, my team said I wouldn't need them for three weeks and they have given me a letter to take to the doctors. I have set up a Pre pay prescription direct debit @ £10 a month as I think I will need at least four monthly prescriptions.

Fizzwoods; you have had major surgery. You will feel like crap for a while. Let it wash over you, don't try and rush anything. Take your vits; make sure the kiddy ones are potent enough. The weather isn't helping either. Things WILL improve.

Hope you feel better soon hunni , I only came home yesterday afternoon and I have chest infection too , I still feel not so good , I am on fragmin injections for two weeks , seeing my Gp Tuesday about other meds xxx

I've got a cold!!! Well sort of. Thats what its been, me coming down with it. Sore throat, full nose, head, etc..... Just going to take it as easy as I can!! Getting bored though!!!!!!!!!!

hi fizzwood hope you feel better soon, i feel for you getting a bloody cold when you are trying to recover.
i still havent had my op, waiting for a veonus cava filter to be inserted, i have had a provisional date for the 21jan,
but i dont think its going to get done then even, i just want it over and done with.
sorry you are getting board but it wont be long and you will be up and running again, take this time to heal and relax and be spoilt.
you just take care. xxxxx

if you have diabetes you should get free precriptions and that's for anything :) the chewable multi vit has to be paid for by us and Barrets do one which covers teens so i bought that one it was on offer in superdrug 3 for 2 x ....when i first came out i expected to be up and running around really quickly (had two ceasareans in past )but got such a shock with the tiredness and problems with my muscles and bleeding not forgetting 9 holes :( take it as easy as you can and i hope you feel better soon :)

I hope everyone who isn't feeling very well gets better soon x

A cold on top of recovery is a pain Sarah, I know how you feel about being bored. I was soooooooo bored after a week I went to work to visit colleagues (who said I looked like I'd had a holiday rather than surgery!)

Everything changes so quickly - you will feel like it never happened soon x It's really astonishing!
