HI Suwie

I think 4 weeks will be plenty of time to shrink your liver.. My only suggestion is to stick to your diet plan and drink lots of water..

Bex : I wish i had gone to Chichester because i would have had operation done by middle of 2011 and not having to wait so long at my hospital..
Good luck with whoever you choose

Nicky xx

Yay a fellow chichester girl :) hehe glad you found the right one for you. we all have our reasons and preferences eh. now to get you moving onto the next part of your journey :) i had to fill out a questionnaire and 5 day food diary (well actually i had to do 2) cos my doc ''sent it'' lost it lol !! and then its back to the waiting game lol !!! good luck keep us posted. pm me any time xx

I have noticed that most on this forum had been funded by nhs
i must live in the wrong district or not fat enough to have funding
as i was refused

I know the critera is different for different councils and they have do much funding from each one I got accepted because my bmi was 54 and I have PCOS and endometriosis and living in Kent was easier x

Yes I've just filled out this form and off to see my doc with it tonight!
When did you send your questionnaire back? We could be banded/op'd at the same time! Xx

bex i sent mine in april time i believe, cos got the funding mid march....hopefully you wont be waiting to long :) im having the bypass honey what you hoping for? xx

I'm hoping for a band but open to suggestions... I spoke to Chichester this morning they told me their wait time is approximately 4 months to appointment then approximately 4 months to surgery?
They really do seem a world apart from all the other hospitals I have spoken to so hoping I made the right choice!

Here's to a new us :) x

They definatly take in to consideration of what procedure ud rather,so thats good! :) that could be about right, i waited about 4 months for first app after id sent food diary etc, then mr slater said from first app to op should be 3 months, so give or take a few weeks, i hope its nearer to the 3 lol :) i spoke to them this morning and she said they are just waiting on some new theatre dates! Very exciting times for us both! Heres to the new us indeed! :) xx

Wow so you are really close then? When did you have your all day seminar? It finally seems real now!

They told me it was only held on a Friday and likely to be December or January one I was booked on but I will probably call them once a week to pester in the hope they might book me a cancellation... Fingers crossed! Xx

I had my first all day appointment on august 31st and thats when mr slater said 3 months, and lady i know had her 1st appointment on july 20th and she has her date for end of october now! :) and yeah they are held on a friday xx
