My Journey in Pictures (Gastric Band)...20st1lb too...

@Nickynooo You look so nice!! Its crazy how sizes work i think you look so much smaller than a 16/18. It's so great to read that you're feeling better about yourself and that you say you feel like you have some self worth. I think that's the best thing anyone can have. Not everyone is going to like you... just like you're not going to like everyone else. But being true to you and liking yourself is what will always get you through. It's your life.. those people you worry about not liking you can't change how you live it :) Keep it up, it seems like you're doing really great.

Your a beaut! Thanks bbe, I am so happy - away for weekend in cambridge..me n tbe bf..feel so bloody good!!

Its true..i reli dnt give a s*** anymore lol as long as I am happy then sweet!!!!

Beautiful x

Thought I would give you an update on the last 3 weeks -

1st week - didnt fancy food what so ever and had to remind myself to eat. The injections were horrible and i dreaded every single one of them - some were ok, some really painful and my belly was really bruised. I found getting up out of bed really painful and bending over and sleeping was slightly uncomfy. Wearing a bra was a nightmare so got a bra that was really lose around the back.

2nd week - appertite returned, no injections (yayy) and was able to move about alot better. Lived on soup, diet shakes and actimel yogurts. Scars healed amazingly and was able to go back to work.

3rd week - able to eat soft foods, mash, cheese (grated), tuna and mayo, fish in sauce, spinage with cream cheese (amazing) ice poles and mini milks - thicker soups etc. I feel satisfied now the foods r thicker and more stodgy - can down 200mls of liquid with ease and overall feel really positive. However - my period (tmi soz) has started and its the heaviest it has everrrrr been, not enjoying that tbh lol!! I am moving about as normal, still tied at times but i fill flatter and less chunky. I reakon I am having between 700-900 calories each day.

This week has been a bit emotional for me - it kinda hit me that I have made such a big change to my life (positive change but a big one!!). Other night I just cried randomly but I have been v lucky that my amazing bf has been so understanding. He mentioned that his started to notice my wl and its such a good feeling.

I am excited for my first band fill which will be on the 22nd. One thing I really want to be careful with is not getting it to tight, i am happy with my portion size, just want my hunger to reduce slightly. I have been logged into this site every day, i really find it so useful and enjoy reading everyones updates.

I am excited for the next few months and excited to start feeling normal and good again!! I plan on having an amazing new years and celebrating what I have achieved this yr.

Me and a close friend (she had her band 6 weeks before me) are going to have a photoshoot done once we hit our targets - buzzing for that!!!!

Hope someone in the future finds this blog helpful

xxxxxx :boohoo:

I know this is a bit of an older thread but this was such a great post to read for a new bander like me! Really relatable and felt the complete same way about feeling emotional and overwhelmed despite this being such a positive step. Hope all is going well for you still x

Hi hun, hope your ok? When did you have your band and do you have much too lose?

Its going ok, however I have been off track for a while. I need to go back soon for it to be tightened as my portion size has increased.

Lots has changed since I have lost some weight, split up with my boyfriend who i had been with for 6 years...it really does play with your emotions.

I’m sorry to hear that hun, I hope you’re okay. You’re looking fab xx

I’m fine thanks still on liquids as my operation was on the 4th. I have about five stone to lose but have been a yo yo dieter all my life and was really looking for a tool to help me maintain weight loss.
Oh that’s a shame, hope you’re ok. Emotional eating would be my specialist subject on mastermind so can completely relate.
How have you found the band when recovery has completed? Im sure you’ll get back on track in no time! xx

Awww so its very recent for you!! Yes first 8 weeks were amazing but then you realise u can eat most things...looking forward to seeing my surgeon on the 23rd for a fill.

Its weird, although i have lost a lot and my life has changed for the best...i still feel massive.

I took some very revealing pictures today which took me out my comfort zone so thought i would post. I no longer look like a beast - chunky but not massive!!

I joined gym yesterday and start tonight.. i feel focused again.

Keep me updated babe, would love to read your journey. If i can help with anything, just ask xxx

Your progress is amazing. I've read your diary and its super impressive that you've lost so much with just little restriction.

Fab news on joining the gym. I've been paying for a membership for the past 2 years and I might have been 10 times in that time. I am going to get my but in gear and go soon though (she says for the thousandth time ...) ;)

Thank you hun!! You know what, i think its more about the gym you pick. I went tonight and seriously loved it. To be fair it is a golf club and spa to it very luxury n no kids. We done a work out and then hit the pool and steam room/jicuzzi ... find a nice one bbe, it might help.

I really am not doing very good with my diet but when it tightens up i feel i will be fine - spesh witb adding exercise.

Are you having or had wls?

Xxxxx
