Ok,..... after reading this forum from front to back, researching the internet to within an inch of its life, and attending consultations, I have finally made my decision!!!

It will be with Mr Akhtar
At the Alexandra Cheadle
Sleeve
and booked for beg october.

I feel so much better now I know what Im gonna do

If I'm half as successful as you lot I will be really happy.
One thing I do know tho....... If the nerves get the better of me and I don't go ahead with WLS I will definately regret it and always wonder what if! x

hi jen, great news on your op . i promise ya u will never regret it . i just wish i had dun it sooner missed out on so much with my kids through being over weight , now my life is changing thanks to the fabulous bypass. i hope all goes well and you share your thought and journey with us all tc xx

I am now 5 days post bypass with mr Aktar at the Alex hospital,cheadle he's a great surgeon. I've not had any pain at all. They gave me one shot of morphine after the op. Then straight onto paracetomol. So so happy with my recovery. Can't wait for my new me.

Grabonzo... wonderful to hear your op went smoothly. Its always encouraging to hear of someone who has been with the same surgeon and hospital as you... it does put my mind to rest a little bit.

Good luck Jen I regretted mine for a few short hours the day after surgery because I had too much time on my hands in hospital and nothing to do but think about what I done. As I said it was a few short hours the following day I was calling my self names that I'm not allowed to put on here! long and short of it no regrets at all. I am only a few days post op but I can't see anything changing my mind.
