Hi All! Saw my GP and have been referred to tier 3 - first appt on 14th Feb. I have a bmi of 40.7 (which I've reduced on my own), age 32, with underactive Thyroid since age 8, sciatica, reflux, lower-body joint pain and depression.
I've been struggling with weight loss for so long, I'm tired and broken. I'm so worried about reducing my bmi after tier 3 and being declined for surgery.

Hiya I’m at Lut9n and Dunstable and I was in the same position becoming dangerously close to having too low a BMI after I lost 2.5 stone, it was hard work trying to find out whether they used my BMI at the start of my journey or not, eventually I was told that once I reached the end of tier 3 and had been accepted for surgery it didn’t matter if I lost anymore weight.
I know all hospitals are different so not sure if that’s any help to you xx
