I started my WLS journey about 3 weeks ago with a referral from my GP. I just have to wait now as it seems they have changed the way they do things in my area.:sigh:

Where are you and which hospital were you referred to?
I'm in Hartlepool and at Sunderland Royal. It's a looooong process at SRH but hopefully it will be worth it!

I am presuming I was referred to Darlington Memorial, but the referral came back saying they wanted the gp to make a list of all the patients which are interested in wls and they would go from there. I am going to have to go up and get the gp to explain it again.

I forgot to say I am in Shildon, Co Durham

I have a BMI of 52.4, type 2 diabeties for 10 yrs. I have some hip and back pain which is getting worse but at the moment manageable. I finally bit the bullet and took up some of my GP's time during a annual revue of my diabeties to ask about referral.
