OH in intensive care

Oh went to have his stent removed after having a gastric sleeve on the 26th October, they tried removing it last Thursday but failed due to mechanical failure of equipment, they took him in for a general today and i received a call at 6pm to let me know he has gone onto intensive care and that the surgeon is going to give me a call asap, i dont know what could have gone wrong, i cant get to see him till tomorrow and i feel sick with nerves.

Hi guys I really hope u don't think I'm out of order asking this but I'm due to have a sleeve in april and a stint was never mentioned and I'm wondering if this is something done automatically or is it down to each different patient? Sorry if it seems inappropriate to ask on this thread xx

Just spoken to his surgeon, they are keeping him ventilated due to not being able to remove stent fully as it has attached itself to something, they are now moving him to the royal london as they have a specialist centre there

No Kelly it is fine to ask, he had to have a stent fitted as his new stomach closed so it is not usual to be done, he has just been so unlucky
