Good morning everyone. Hope all is well. Im Becks..49 from staffs. 2011 I had a gastric band. All went OK for a few years, then started suffering severe reflux eveeytime my band was filled..had some out and gained weight. This went on for a number of years, so I expressed my concerns. After a barium xray, it was found I had hiatus hernia, and had to have numerous tests Inc a 24hr tube into my stomach to measure acid. It was then decided they would remove the band a do a bypass. Band was removed January 2020. My consultant doesn't do straight conversion, he does it in 2 separate ops. Had to wait 8wks between them. However, covid struck. I gained alot of weight during lockdown and even got diabetes. Fast forward 2 years I'm now back on the milk and yoghurt ready for a bypass next week
just praying all my bloods come back OK!
I'm beyond ready for this. Excited, nervous, done the what ifs. Can't wait for my second chance!
