Hello all,
I'm booked in to have a band fitted with Mr Super at Dolan Park and am a little worried. I've tried to stick to the milk and yogart diet but am finding it pretty hard going. Must say, that this site has made me feel much better already.
Any advice????
Thanks

Hi Ratchet...welcome to Minis :) you'll get loads of advice and support from the folks on here.

I'm guessing that you're going for a band if you're at Dolan Park? I had mine with Mr Siggurdson there...you'll be fine.

the milk and yoghurt diet is a toughy, but it does the trick...you just gotta stick with it I'm afraid and drink plenty allowable liquids...the pounds will drop off :D

good luck.

Just keep at it, it will make the operation so much easier and quicker for everyone :D

I'm not too good on this compter thingy and hope I'm sticking my reply in the right place, thanks for the welcome, will pour myself another orange squash and might have a VERY early night.
You're doing very well from your results- very inspiring

Hi Rachet and :welcome2:to minis. I'm a bander too and found the milk and yoghurt diet hard. It has to be done though and if you can stick with this you'll be fine with your band. Good luck and make sure you fill up on sugar free squash and tea/coffee with milk from your allowance. Also you could make some ice lollies with the s/f pop and then you'll feel like you've eaten something.

hi there welcome to mini;s and good luck for the 25th :)

Hi and welcome to minis. I can't help as am still waiting for funding for a bypass. Good luck for Saturday and as soon as you feel up to it let us know how you get on.

Hi all,
Thanks for your messages of support. Everything went very well. Got there at 7am but didn't go down for surgery until 4pm- which was a bit of a pain ( time to panic!)
Went out like a light with the injection and woke up in recovery. It's very true what they say about the trapped wind and how it makes your shoulders/ neck ache. I was suprised how neat the marks on my stomach were and just feel stiff when I bend forward / try to get up.
Have had a cup a soup and a yogart today and plenty of water and feel fine.
off for a little nap now,
cheers ( won't be using that phrase for a while!)
