Hi Eve
We've all had these feelings,Perfectly natural so don't worry too much ( Yeah right! )
I'm 5 months post op and in total have lost 7st 3lb which includes pre op loss.
I had a bypass and was panicking but all went so smoothly and have no problems at all.
You'll love your new life..Best wishes and let us know how you feel when you're ready.
Take care
Andy x

Just wanted to wish you good luck hun you know its the best thing you can do for yourself, and well as I look at it I will be asleep so I wont be aware of what they are doing :). Hope you have a speedy recovery. xx

I had the same fears before my op. The anaesthetist told me when I asked, that these are the most common fears patients have. He also told me to remember that it's their job to get people safely through their surgery and if there were any serious risks, they would not anaesthetise you.

I know it's hard for you to believe, but you'll have the most amazing sleep and won't even remember going under. You will be fine :)

Best wishes with your op tomorrow, Eve.

Will you have a smartphone with you to be able to update us? Or a hubby / partner who you might permit them to have access to your WLSurgery password so that person can post when you are out of surgery?

Best wishes. :) You'll be on the loser's bench soon !!!

Oh hune good luck. Just think of how you will look feel.and be in 6 months time after op. Now Think how you will be look and feel in a few years without the op. Fat unhealthy in pain no confidence no nice clothes not many choices. You can do it hune keep us posted.

I have been with Steve (the sleeve) now for nearly 8 weeks. We have had our arguments as he is such a fussy eater but we are starting to find some middle ground in this marriage.

I didn't feel nervous until I was on the table then WHAM. Don't worry surgeons do many of these in all sorts of circumstances on people that are bigger than you.
It's no where near as bad as you think it's gonna be honest.
You aren't even in that much pain afterwards. I was really surprised as I am really allergic to bad pain.

Good luck and you'll be fine honestly, and, telling us all how wonderful it is and how fab you are feeling.

Paula

Is this normal? I had to be here at 7am and still haven't been called- I'm fasting so didn't expect to wait all day for the op- think they said it should be around 4pm- really annoying to sit here all day!!

They get everyone there for 7 a.m then keep you waiting as long as they feel like it. Very annoying. I am sure that by now you'll be either fast asleep and having your op, or recovering from it and soo relieved it's over. xxx
