Problems - if going private

i paid private but had it done by my local nhs bariatric surgeon i had problems with a massive internal bleed and the first thing i asked him would i have to pay again for any further treatment he told me i was under his care and what had to be done would be done by him at no extra cost xxxxxxxxxx

I'm paying for mine privately and If there are any complications caused by the op or further surgery required I'm covered . The aftercare package is as good as NHS. My surgeon is the NHS surgeon for the area and has operated on a few other members on this site.

As to payments, I had to pay a £700 deposit at my pre op assesment and the balance was due (today) a week before the surgery.

Caren, Being private you can choose the date, so possibly would be able to get the extra needed

i would love to go private, but can only get about £6000 at the moment
