i make my quiche. eggs cottage cheese with ham and tomato. its lovely hit with veg or cold with salad and low fat too. the sw version i used to have had a corned beef base.
Its simple carbs in the pastry, which could make you dump. I have regular quiche sometimes now, because I need the high fat, but I can only have a small piece cos I dump easily on simple carbs.
I have had the weightwatchers quiche and only eaten the filling. Don't eat the pastry and I would have thought you'd be ok. I'm a abander though so I'd wait for confirmation from a bypasser. Good luck and enjoy if you're aloud it.
found the recipe:2 eggs beaten with a large tub of cottage cheese, and baked slow for about 30 minsI used t put cheese and onion smash as a base tooyou can add mushrooms or tomatoes too if you want
Really easy one for lunch or a snack. Saute veggies of your choice in fry light until slightly softened. In a bowl mix 3 eggs with 150g of cottage cheese (vlf of course) and season with salt/pepper/mixed herbs.
Spread veggies over the base of a flan tin sprayed with a little fry light (or any kind of baking tin) then pour over the egg mixture.
Bake in the oven at 180 for about 25 to 30 minutes.
Can be eaten hot or cold. Great to snack on, or serve as a lunch with a big salad.
I have had crustless quiche since soft foods and I haven't had a problem. I use whatever I have leftover as the filling (cooked veg, ham, chicken, sausage) and cover the top with shredded cheese and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. I usually bake two trays and cut up the second tray into bypass size portions & bang it in the freezer. To reheat I defrost for a couple of minutes in the microwave and then cook full power for 1-2 minutes. I usually pair it with a salad.
they sound yum and Ive not even had my wls yet, might give them a try lol. I hate pastry so I should be ok as I usually eat the middle only lol, same with pies, i eat the base and the filling yes im strange but the strangeness will come in hand when I have had the op lol
I made one today at work cottage cheese, 3 eggs chopped up ham and mushrooms with some seasoning and some keyen (spelt wrong) pepper. Was very good and full of protein
