Regrets

I wish I had never needed the surgery in the first instance.
There are days where I wish I could just still eat what I want to eat without having to consider the fat and sugar content. There are days when I would like to order 3 courses. There are days where I would like to drink an ice cold diet coke or have a glass of wine with my meal.
There are days when I would like to feel normal again.
However, these are outweighed by the fact that I am fitter and healthier than I have been for a long time. My back pain has totally gone, I have not used my Asthma inhaler for months, I have energy and a desire to exercise.
I look better, I feel better and I am optimistic for my future.
My only regret is I let myself get in the position I was in before the op. I should have done lots of things differently but we can't live life on should of, would of, could of. My regret is serving as a lesson for being healthy going forwards.
