Good luck Hun x

We've all been there hun, and even now I panic that I'm eating too much, that I'm not eating enough, that everytime I put something in my mouth I'm damaging my new pouch, everytime I drink something I'm stretching my pouch, I could go on as my list of daily worries is ever changing and endless!!! It's natural to worry about the unknown, but I'm sure you'll be fine, as I have been :)

H xx

thanks how long does it take for your pouch to heal x

All very normal, hon :):) your pouch is usually mostly healed by 6 weeks but can take 3 months for the odd pain to go. I had a ststch like pain when bending over right up to 11 weeks but all good now ... :):) You will be fine, sweetie xxx

thanks twinkle x

Goodluck hun, ive just had my op 6 days ago and im in the same boat im to scared incase i eat to much or not enough cause i dont no when im full and dont want to cause any pain to myself as i suffered alot of wind pain after surgery xx

iv been scareing myself.................
You and me both Cinders! I wanted the bypass, told I couldn't have it because of previous surgery ( without the consultant even looking at my innards)

Settled on sleeve that I hadnt researched. Researched it and found it not what I wanted - and as Ive scrimped to pay my own costs I want to have my first choice first and second choice if ness.
I went back changed surgeon and told I could have the bypass if no probs inside. So now having attempt at RNY at least- but I dont know what Ill wake up to! Sleeve or bypass.
I'm diabetic so hoping for resolution rate of RNY but will accept sleeve although lower resolution

Its really difficult choosing. Its hard to research as one website says ABC about an op and another place says XYZ about the same op! Ive decided Ill let someone else decide IE the consultant I'm just going turn up lie down and tell them to get on with it. Wake up and accept whats happened.

RNY scares me more then idea of sleeve with its malabsortion of vits and minerals. Also future medicine issues - can I take meds i may need in future etc.
Im also a little worried about dumping with RNY although I can see the positive side of the anti cheat effect of Dumping syndrome.
My op date has changed to 24th so I have another 10 days to bit my fingernails!
Good luck.

I hope they can do the RNY. You will do fine. You will do the best with whatever surgery you have. There is so much help and information here. You will be successful! Please keep us updated!

I'm in the same boat as you hunni. I had my op 3 days ago and I'm scared to eat anything I shouldn't. I don't know when I feel full either. I feel hungry too.

What will be will be- the surgeon will only do what is right for you :)
During my research of RNY apparently the the incidence of dumping syndrome with those who have been/ are diabetic is much less.

oh i didnt know that about the diabetis xx
