hello everyone. i'm going for my laposcopy tomorrow and will be sedated for the procedure. having had 6 ops under general over the years i'm not worried about getting the band but am really anxious about the scope. anyone whose done it please give me some reassuring words!

nothing? now i really am worried!

good luck, Ive not had it done nor do I want to I think , but its another hurdle for surgery so go jump it :D

have had a couple of hand ops under locals, carpal tunnel both hands, and I didnt feel anything.
I have had a couple of laparoscopys but they were under general as had other procedures
You will be fine honestly, dont worry, it is hard to keep the nerves at bay but really you will be fine.
Good luck will be thinking of you

thanks guys i had a broken elbow manipulated under sedation and dont remember any of it but thought the scope would take longer and how would i be sedated for so long etc.

I have had a few...both ends too...As you are having sedation you are going to be fine...you won't even remember it really.

Don't worry...you'll be fine.

(((hugs)))

Hiya Julia,

I had a lapo or scope 6 weeks after my surgery. They do sedate you really heavelly. I remember coming to for a split second and heaving but then i went again. Was over in seconds or seemed like seconds. Its nothing to worry about you will be fine hun. Janey ;);););)

I have scopes regularly due to ulcers and I have had twilight sedation. It was a breeze and I didn't remember a thing.

i feel much better now thanks for the reassurance xx

thanks gaynor xxx

hope it went ok for you and its all over now so there you go ;)
