Well had had another bout of severe pain in my upper abdomen which was the worst I've ever had. Worst than post surgery. I phoned my out of hours team's number only to be told as it was a bank holiday there were no doctors to speak to and I should go to A & E.
At A & E they took an x ray, did a heart trace and took bloods. All came back normal and as my pain had gone, they sent me home.
I have no idea what this pain I keep having might be but it's getting worse each time and disappears as mysteriously as it appears. It's not my gall bladder, liver or anything else as my GP has ruled them all out. I had a routine appointment with my team last week but I only saw the dietician as the surgeon was called away for an emergency. I have another appointment at the end of September, but if I get another bout of pain before then, I'm not sure I could cope. I'm just about to email the dietician I saw and ask her if I can see a doctor sooner as I've already missed work from this.
