Hi can anyone give me some ideas on High protein low fat/ carb meals and snacks I'm 4 weeks post op sleeve and really struggling to get my protein as I hate the protein shakes. Thanks

I know its best to get protein from food sources, but you can buy protein water ~ I found them too sweet so watered them down even more and they were then drinkable, but had a high quantity of protein in it.

Other things I've been having (altho Im a bander so unsure if you're able to eat these)
tuna flakes in brine
prawns
chicken

you could also
~ add skimmed milk powder to soups or stews or mix in with mashed foods

Here are some ideas too

Ive been having turkey, minced or turkey breast as its got high levels of protein but lower fat than even chicken :)

I also have muller light yoghurts, altho low in fat about 90 cals a pot,. they still give about 7g of protein :)

Not an expert but find oily fish such as salmon mackeral and tuna very high and also the better yogurts such yeo valley can be 12gms per 100 ml

Thanks so much for that I'm going to keep this on my phone to look at, very helpful :) where have you bought the protein water from?

a company called My protein online, although I had appalling service and my items never arrived, but other people have ordered them from here. Theres 40g of protein in 1 x 500ml bottle :)

HERE

You can also get "shots" like these here

yes. BLEGH lol

google lowcarb megastore, they have loads of stuff, just put in my first order so can't say if service is good, but it's worth a look (though delivery charge is high!)

Having been on Atkins type diets and low carb stuff in the past I found they were usually higher in fats / saturated fats than I would be happy with.

As a newbie, can anyone tell me please how many grammes of protein you are aiming for in a day?

My protein service same for me. Appalling company.

I also had the same problem when ordering stuff from discount supplements online! And it took me over 3 weeks to get a refund for items they never sent!!

Same here & I threatened them with Trading Stamdards.
