After completing tier 3 not losing weight but maintaining had to go back to doctor ask for surgery! I saw doctor last night and she said she is referring me for tier 4 so does this mean I will actually get my surgery now? I weigh 21stone struggled all my life always lose then gain and stay at this weight! Been this weight since about 21 years old now 40! No other health issues like diabetes high blood pressure so was always told I am quite healthy! Would love to hear from someone in Hampshire on what happens next! I am in Winchester!

I am hoping to find out the answer to this too, as i think that with the new report that was published it means that the threshold has been lowered. I am hoping that someone can confirm this?

My experience of Tier 4 is when the gp refers you to the hospital, and you are seen and assessed by the bariatric team. When I had the appointment it said allow up to three hours. I saw the consultant surgeon, nurse specialist, dietitian, some people see the physcologyst as well. Once the surgeon says yes to surgery at a later date you have to see the anesthetist for a assessment, then a case of waiting for a date for surgery.

Thank you very much so still have to wait for surgeon to say yes then! God I so want this been waiting for over 20 years now!
