What should I do?!?!

Wow that's brilliant ! You've done extremely well .. How much do you want to lose ?
I have trouble getting my head around someone who is 13st and still feeling big lol .. I weighed in at 25.8st and am 5ft 8 when I started and would be so blissfully happy to be 13st ..
I know we all different heights .. Example my niece is only 5ft , short ass , and weighs 15st and she is huge bless her .. I think her ideal weight should be 7st or something like that .. 7st ! I just can't get my head around it .. So she is , at her height , 8st overweight and morbidly obese ..
So if I was 6ft 2 I'd be ok ! Hahahaha !

Thank you! For my height I should be around 9 stone, so still a few stone to go yet! Am 5"2.5- that half an inch is very important! Funnily enough I thought I was 5"4 up until I went to my first consultation- nope! Clearly have shrunk!
Haha you're right though, it is all about builds. There was an article in the dailymail a few months ago and it had several women who all weighed 10st lined up. Was amazing to see how different they all were. Some were wearing size 10 and some were wearing size 16. If truth be told this is why I try so hard to not concentrate on the scales, its always about how I feel in clothes more than anything...obviously this hasn't worked that well for me so far lol but I still don't want to rule my life by a number. I think this is why I'm really struggling to think of a goal weight and feel it will probably be a moving target.
For me this band has mainly been about maintaining and not getting bigger which I know is going to happen. I've been big my whole life and actually I wasn't at my biggest at the start of this journey, but I'm just tired of the yo-yoing. The losing weight, feeling great, celebrating I've lost weight by going out for dinner and before you know it, bobs your uncle, fannys your aunt and I'm back at square one- I've had enough of that cycle. I need to find a way to cope with my head hunger and my boredom eating. I need to find other ways to celebrate, commiserate and even socialise without it revolving around food. I need to reducate- or should I say educate- myself on portion control. I also need to realise that not eating all day is not something to be proud of and nor is it an achievement- it is just as unhealthy as eating all day and just creates a viscious cycle of binging. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this band is a last ditch attempt to see food for what it is. Food. That's all. Not my worst enemy and my best friend. Just food. Does any of this make sense or have I really lost the plot haha?!

That's an awesome attitude you got there chick ! I relate to all of that ..
Yep to the yo yo diet , to the food related celebrations and deff the portion control , I'm still working in that one I admit ..
I really need to serve food on a tea plate , but havnt been able to as of yet ..
You make perfect sense :)

Makes perfect sense to me and congratulations on your fantastic loss :)

Thank you ladies, it's always so therapeutic to get out what you need to say but can't say to your family if you know what I mean.
On a separate note- my goodness it's two for two this week on the good news my end! But I've experienced hunger today! For the first time in years! I don't mean 'there's an ad break on the tv, lets walk to the fridge and see' hunger, I don't even mean a 'well himself is working late tonight so I'm going to curl up with a good book and an indian take away' hunger. In fact I don't even mean a 'that cow on the bus has mini cheddars so I'm going to think about mini cheddars for the next several hours and demolish a family pack in the tescos carpark as soon as I finish work' hunger....I mean an actual pain in my tummy because I hadn't eaten since breakfast and I needed to refuel. My skinny friends say they get hunger pains but I've never given my body the chance to experience that sensation before. So I had a yoghurt and after that I was fine. It wasn't a craving where you blindly eat whatever it is you need and it wasn't an out of control oh my god give me the nearest bit of food, it was just a realisation that my body needed topping up so I calmly chose a yoghurt and that satisfied me. Think also I've inadvertently cut down on sugar so there wasn't even a nosedive in my energy levels. Going back to my previous post about seeing food as being just food, that's almost how it felt today. Like it was a scientific thing- cause and effect. I feel hunger, so I shall eat. Long story short, excuse my waffle...it felt GREAT :) :)

Urgh after last two posts, back to earth with a bang. Have lost a quarter of a pound this week :( :( I had a sneaky look on Friday and I had lost 2 but then over the weekend I started on mushys- had between 800-1300 cals a day. Feeling a bit bloated and need a bm so hoping that this and the fact that I'm eating more is what the issue is. I've been bracing myself for a stall but thought it would be in a few weeks :( :( not a nice way to start the day! X

The lack of a BM is a big issue with the weight loss .. Have you been taking the laxatives ?
The other thing is , don't for get your body is in shock , protect and famine mode , so it's going to take a little while to get it to move .. Don't worry.. As long as your not eating sliders or high calorie food it has to come off .
Plus only weigh yourself once a week , on the same day and roughly the same time if you can.. Rely on one set of scales , I go to Boots every Wednesday morning and weigh , you also get a print out to keep :)
Please try not stress about it . It's a long road ahead , so go with the flow and trust your body and your band

Thanks Mindy, yes have been taking senakot- luckily bm happened yesterday so that was a relief!
Am really trying but hunger has returned with a vengeance. Am eating healthily but having to work very hard at not snacking and letting portion size creep up. Each day seems to be different.
Had my telephone dietician appointment which went well, although he didn't sound impressed that I'd started the mushy's a few days earlier! Said that I'd lost an above average amount of weight for my size so pretty chuffed with that and he reminded me that any weight loss before restriction is a bonus- was nice to be reminded!
Also have appointment for first fill- he said not to get my hopes up as it may take a few times to get to restriction, which of course I'm trying not to do...but failing haha!
Have an evening out for a friends birthday at the end of this month and really would love to wear a dress I bought yonks ago but never had confidence to wear- is a size smaller than normal and has a 'plunging neckline shall we say haha! Fingers crossed!

Morning chick !
I can't believe the sun is out this morning ! Not sure if it will last though ? Silly English summer ..
The restriction thing took me a while to get my head round , I'm still not sure how you know when your at restriction ?
I've had 2 fills now , and have 6.2mls in my band .. Had a top up in Wednesday and I can feel it's a lot tighter .. Hiccuping wind type belching is happening a lot lol !
Last night , I pinched a quarter slice of hubby's mini pork pie , so a tiny piece , didn't chew the meat bit properly and it sat in tummy like a stone for a few mins , so I now know the band is deff tighter and I have to be very careful now .
I have been eating 2 weetabix, mixed fruit and Greek yogurt for breakfast , but the last 2 days I can only eat 1 and that's a struggle .. So I'm hoping I'm at restriction !
Yes any weight loss before restriction is all down to will power , I was told this by my doc also at last appointment .
So your doing extra extra well Chick ! Be very mindful of your band and why you've had it done .. I havnt over eaten as I'm wary of stretching my new upper stomach and creating a larger pouch above the band ..
Keep up the good work and you'll be in that dress before you know it :)
