Whey Protein Shakes - I'm confused

Montana

New Member
After reading a few different threads on protein shakes I'm a bit confused...can bypassers drink protein shakes or not

I'd planned on nipping to Holland & Barrett to stock up pre-op but I'm not sure now whether I'd be wasting my money or not!

Can anyone clarify this?

I love my protein shakes & have always used them even pre-op.

My team don't advocate them because they want you to learn how to eat well enough to get everything you need from foods but I don't think there is any 'reason' as to why we can't have them as bypassers??

Someone who knows a bit more may correct me on that tho?

yes we can use them but as ditz say,s i think the docs like u 2 eat well, me 2 montana but am confused as to what sort 2 buy theres so many i dont no if u get a basic 1 or protien plus ect

I have spent most of the day on this question . . .this gives some good information . . .

I have just ordered 2 x 5lb from SAS (Sports and Supplement) if you use coupon code SAS03 there is a small discount and postage is free.

So one scoop 3 times a day ! certainly not cheap but best to get the right proteins rather than waste time and money.

Hope this helps xx

Hi hun .... yes I have read all these, thanks xx

Probably worth re-posting or linking to them then as they are advocates of the protein shots. Silversurfer not so much. ISTR he did an 'experiment' with them and found for him that they didn't do much.

Some excellent info here, thanks peeps! :)
