Will we all need full body lifts/tummy tucks?

yup the anethnatist has the power to pull the plug on any op, he did on the 1st attempt to band me.

Its the anasthetic thats the dangerous bit in any operation, and compounded by the obesity risks of high BP, heart conditions etc etc, thats why the risks are higher, having excess skin wont kill you, having the operation wont kill you, but the anesthatist will - anasthetic isn't an exact science.

I see what you mean. I think I will probably put my faith in magic pants. Have you got excess skin SS? Afterall, you seem to do an immense amount of exercise with your outdoors pursuits.

Wow Liz you have done fantastic!!!! I will definatley be having a tummy tuck when I have lost another 3 stones. Could you tell me more about your experience of the TT?? x Also what are your scars like now?
Also a banding question. When you have your 'fills' how long do you feel the initial restriction for? When I have mine the restriction is good for the 1st few days then I seem to revert back to how I felt before the previous fill!!
Again well done with your weightloss and TT op's x x x

hi jinkles, my experience of my t/t was very painfull one but worth it, im now in the process of waiting for a consultation appointment for revisional surgery to my upper tummy. my scars are faint now, my skin on the after pics was very very tight from the pulling in of the skin and the swelling, my upper tummy is now slack now and my hips are uneven so revisional surgery will correct this.

i have had 2 fills since my new band and the restriction has been good from both, i only opted for a second fill as i felt my band needed tweeking to the sweet spot, my restriction level is exactly the same today as it was the day i had my fill.

what size band have you got and how much fill is in it ?

I've been told that there has been research done that shows if you get ur BMI to 22 then your skin starts to shrink back. has anyone heard of this? I hadn't, and can't see my skin shrinking completely back i've been overweight too long and too big...

By the way Liz thats the best pic i've seen of you, you lok fab and soooo happy....xx
