16 days till my bypass.hospital all ready 4 me :S

hi y'all well i have 16 days left till my bypass and im terrified. im due in hospital at 7 am on the 20th and just signed all my admission forms its become scarily real now. the whole process of getting this far has been less than 4 months not including the 3 month counciling and weight managment course i had to do prior to referal. its happened all VERY fast. i just cant get it into my head that this month im going 2 have what iv wanted since i was a teen. a healthy life! and for that i can never thank the nhs enough as much as people moan about them they have saved my life. feels like christmas hehe

haha yep was incredibly lucky i only seen the surgeon very end of december. then pre op 2 weeks later and now op 4 weeks later.

Roger Ackroyd was on a BBC documentary many years back as being the first NHS surgeon to specialise in bariatric surgery and commence specialist services. I'm not surprised that things are so slick in Sheffield, he is amazing.
