ADVICE...What do you take to hospital for operation?PLEASE HELP

Hello,

I have been been given a date for my operation at salford,but I need to know what to take with me,
Do you wear there gowns or take your own and how many,and was there any other things you was glad you took with you...
And if anyone was at salford whats visting times etc?
anyones experience would help me a great deal..
