anyone else taking part in medical research?

Is anyone else (probably Charing Cross only) taking part in the medical research on weight loss surgery and fMRI appetite imaging?

Just thought I would ask and see!

Its really interesting, they are trying to understand what it is that changes the appetite after surgery, as although its assumed its due to the part of the stomach being bypassed so less hormones etc they actually dont have proof I dont think. They are also trying to find other things that work as well as surgery without being so drastic.

Be careful what you sign up for! I agreed to do some m edical research about obesity and bypass etc and agreed to a small biopsy from my bum.....I ended up with 7 stitches and a very sore rear end Im supposed to go back 9 months after surgery for it done again..........Im not sure if I will lol x

I only had some piles removed and i would never never ever go ther ( or let someone else) again!!!! ouchy mamma!!!

I am part of some sort of research project and apparently some of my fat is being stored in a freezer somewhere. I don't really understand what the project is about but I'm happy to help (as long as it doesn't involve any extra pain!!!).

Ouch! no this one is just a few functional MRI an injection and a few blood tests. You'd need to be preop as you need scans pre and post op.
