Do they tell you your op date months in advance ????

we go away a few times a year and were looking to book flights for march but what if i got a date , i mean i know you wait along time to get banded but we book flights early but you cant put your life on hold or do you have to ??? x

ooooo gosh eeeek , i would say book it as your right you cant hold life.... if worse came to worse you d have to rebook it for when your back :-/ nothing either one of us would want to do, but it cant be helped hey.....you could once its booked ring mr small s secretary or say on your next appointment so its in your notes so they can just book your appointment around the hol dates and you d have never been the wiser of missing it!!! good luck sweet pea xx

Kelly has a good suggestion there. Do you know roughly how long the waiting time is for surgery at your provider? If so i'd be very tempted to try and avoid potential months of surgery or..... ring your surgeons secretary and ask her to make a note of when you are away and ask not to be given a date around this time..

I think it all boils down to how impatient you are for your surgery! I put my life on hold and even day trips weren't planned far in advance.........
