Feel lousy

I feel lousy today, ended up going back to bed for a few hours and got up and had some soup. I feel extremely clammy all the time today and was feeling sick before I had even ate my breakfast. Discovered the hospital had not given me enough of the lansoprozole tablets to last the weekend so order some at my doctors, you would of thought I was asking for a kidney. I have taken my BP on my own machine and its low my pulse is also 73 when I was told this should be over 94 whilst I was in hospital. I have a slight headache and sweat is dripping off me. Spoke to the pharamist and she again kept saying a band not a bypass until I snapped at her. She knows nothing about treating this but suggested I had a piece of toast!!!!!. She then spoke to my GP who may or may not put up a script after four pm for soluable paracetamol. (pharmasist thinks codiene is too strong for me) and she is going to try and get some anti sickness tablets but as he refused them the other day because they will react with the BAND they are not sure. I hate the bloody NHS sorry for all those that work there but this feels really scarey, I am alone in the house well may as well be my selfish git of a son is upstairs and I feel miserable, lonley and sick.....xx

:hug99: buccastem are fine post op, they dissolve in the mouth and don't affect the bypass at all. You can buy them over the counter if you say they are for migraines.

Call your specialist nurse asap. You will get better advice. DO IT NOW!

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough Charliegirl - had a thought about the nausea - what about some seasickness wrist bands, they are meant to help morning sickness as well as travel sickness and obviously can't interfere with your medication. Might be worth a try.

Do you have an NHS walk-in centre nearby, if all else fails ring your consultant, go into A&E. GPs/Pharmacies don't have any experience but the team in the hospital will have.

Hope you start feeling better soon.

Buccastem , SPC from the eMC

No contraindications for bariatric surgery listed :)

Tell your GP surgery that you feel you are being denied your right to health care and if it isn't sorted today you will be making a formal complaint.

By the way, PG you're a bit scary lol :whoopass: I promise I will not be late tomorrow :innocent0002:

Noooooo, not scary:eek:, just concerned!!!:wave_cry:

Okay, I am a bit bossy but I won't cop to scary, I'm nice and loveable, honest!!

just joking with you pg ;)

Linda I have to agree, the symptoms you're describing are concerning, and you should see someone. You could be coming down with flu etc, but it's better safe than sorry.

I have taken a soluable pain killer that I take for migraines whilst waiting for the doctor to put up a script for soluable paracetamol, just sent my son to collect it and when he took it to the chemist it was for ordinary paracetamol! The chemist sent him back saying I cant swollow them can the GP change it to soluable and they said no not until monday!!! What the heck is going on here, I called them and told them I will be taking this further but of course they just want to go home for the weekend....I thought my fight with the NHS was over it does not look that way. I am now beginning to wish I had not bothered with any of this. I have contacted my bariatric nurse but it says 24 hours to get back to me, I so want someone to care about me am I asking too much? I am not strong enough to fight anyone just now, neither my son nor my GP I want some TLC and I know I am not going to get it....sorry for moanining I feel extremely low right now..

hi linda. sorry to hear that you are feeling down, i have some soluble paracetamol here if you would like me to post them to you, i dont know if that would be quicker than doc sorting it on monday, if you would like me to post them pm me your adress.

Linda go to A+E you are not right - get checked out and do not delay it may be nothing but hey your health is important. You need to be seen ... are you listening out there do it now.

A very concerned M

Heh hun, sorry your not feeling great. i hope you have got your symptoms checked out!!! try to take things easy and relax and if i can do anything you know where i am!! x

Hi everyone thanks for your concern....I am finally feeling better. Apparently as I am getting headaches (nothing new there) and taking the paracetamol/codiene its too strong for me although I am only taking one at a time. Its irrating my stomach and making me feel sick and the sickness is making me feel clammy etc. The pharmasist managed to get my GP to prescribe soluable paracetamol and some sickness tablets although the sickness tabs were not soluable and the GP refused to amend the script until monday. I was not happy with this and told them so. I was going to just grin and bear it or try and get the stuff shel recommended. At 6pm this evening the GP's receptionist called back to say the doctor would now amend the script to the soluable ones I told her I had noone to go to the chemist and she said she would take it there herself. The chemist will deliver them in the morning. I have had some paracetamol and my stomach is feeling settled and my temperature has also settled down. I just feel tired now and plan on settling on the sofa under a blanket with my cats and watching tv. Got a tightness under my bust its like wearing an underwired bra that is far too small, it looks bloated but I have no wind, shel has advised me it should be ok and I am going to keep my eye on it, its a bit like being pregnant when you can rest your cup of tea on your bump.....anyway once again thanks for all your concern....((hug)) to everyone I really dont know where I would be without you lot and I really mean that....xxxxx

Glad youre feeling a bit better. Thats shocking service (or lack of) youve received from the doctor etc. Im glad theyre doing something for you now. Take care x
