Getting used to compliments

I have a mixture of telling and not telling!! I tell other very over weight people who actually ASK me, I would never approach someone and say you should have the op, which is what happened to me preop!!!
My family know and my immediate colleagues know, so I dare say a lot more people know and I don't know they know!!!

Compliments are difficult.

I'm split, people that know me I tell the truth to I had op. But I have a lot of 'clients' who know I've been 'ill', I'm telling them I've had an op, but nothing else unless they ask.

I'm a person that keeps my business to myself,so naturally I haven't told anyone about my bypass apart from very close friends and family.
The first 18 months after the op was tough for me..I had total strangers stop me in the street, stares and whispering in the playground,
At times I wished when people asked "how have you lost your weight" Id just told them "a bypass"
But as I'm a private person it's still my secret.
