I went to Belgium.

I packed light:

Washbag
PJ's
Change of Clothes
Lots of things to red/watch/play
 
I took:

Dressing gown
Slippers
Magazines
Phone - with music
Phone charger
Earphones
Earplugs

You really won't need much! x

Dont do what I did I packed way too much ! In the end I used
1 dressing gown
1 pr of loose fitting pj( wore a hospial gown for the first 36 hours)
Travel toothpaste/ mouthwash
liquid soap
wet wipes
lib balm( highly recommend )
Mouth spray( highly recommended mouth got really dry )
Ipad phone chargers for both
loose change to get magazines
slippers
head scarf
head phones ( to block out noisy or snoring people )

I didn't get to put on PJs until the morning of my release; up till then I was told to stay in my gown. I didn't use my iPad at all either.

I forgot to say on my discharge day I didnt even bother to change from my night clothes into day wear as my jeans would rubbed against my wounds so went home in my nightie and dressing gown with a cushion between me and the seatbelt just to make my trip home more comfortable !
