You will get there these first few days are awful this is major surgery, do not try to be superwowan there is only so much you will be able to tolerate during these early days it gets easier I know I was in and out of hospital due to problems with my IBS and then appendix for approx 2 months post op so I was way behind when it came to knowing what I should or could eat as I had been I'll to so long. Stay positive when the weight starts coming off you will be dancing round your room. Good luck .

I cant wait I've booked on to the Wednesday evening seminar did you do one? its on the 5th march did you get a call after your pre-op or a letter for when to start milk die, do they discuss milk diet with you on pre-op I'm seeing so many different things I was under the impression you could have a bowl of veg, the literature from Sheffield hosp just says milk & yoghurt!

I've got into such a zone at the minute excersize bike, rower & weight lifting with a champagne bottle & 20 mins on Kinect I've got a weigh in on Monday with change 4 life I'm tipping they will soon discharge me knowing I'm having pre-op in 2 week

hi kimmie, are you having your op in sheffield? i was done at northern general. i attended the seminar beginning of september then 3 weeks later had an appointment with the registrar where we talked about my eating habits and which op would be best for me. in october i had my pre op where i had respiratory tests and an ecg and lots of bloods done. a couple of weeks before my op i recieved my admissions letter and a booklet explaining the milk diet which for the hospitals in sheffield is 3 pints of milk, 2 light/diet yogurts and some sugar free jelly. no soup sadly.
i had my operation on the 17th of january
