Having a sleeve!!

Lol pesky toddler in your area = no chance of catnappings lol!!! You'll probs be better when your back in your proper routine, in your own home. Have a look at reflexology hun, see if there's any reasonable mobile therapists in your area. I think it's brilliant xx. Gotta be worth a try just to see x

I'll do some researching over the weekend.. Xx

Stomach is feeling like my throat has been cut today. Don't know why. I'm eating little and often, but it still feels like I've not eaten :( didn't even feel like this on the milk and yoghurt diet!

Kirsty

I've been the same :(

previous bander, revision to by pass.

It's crappy! Hope this weekend is better! X

Think I'm going to slowly go onto mashies if I can tolerate. Got another week, but being a previous bander I know the signs n have tolerated thick soup with cheese in and a bar today. May try a cheese triangle tomo n suck it to death :)

I've got just over a week before I'm on mushys and crispy stage, though I have had some foods in the past few days that I just mushed with a fork, cottage cheese and really soft carrot and swede and have been fine with them :) xx

So, Tuesday, (not Thursday) mum made a chicken curry, puréed me some up and I had some for tea, it was lovely, stayed down etc.. Then last night I had princes tinned chilli con carne puréed, that also stayed down.. And I have just had cottage cheese and beef paste for my lunch. I feel okay, I've had cottage cheese already and that stayed down but not tried beef paste till now. It was soo yum! So nice to finally be getting good flavours in!!

Just been reading through my food diary and seem to have traveled back 2 years as the past weeks dates were all 2012 and didn't even realise!! I think I'm a tad tired lol xx

Kirsty

Can't believe I didn't even notice tbh... I can understand putting 2013, but 2012? Hmm! Lol

I don't have any small goals, but the fact that my new, smaller sized dressing gown now fits me after 2 weeks makes me happy! It only just met in the middle if my tummy when I got it the Saturday after my op, now it wraps about another 3/4inches around!

Kirsty

yay, its the little things hun that really make the difference xxx

I just read that you have ! Could you give me some info on how you've felt and coped post op with pain and the food or lack of it ? Also how long until you can drive and drink alcohol ? X

Hey :) ermmm, well the worst pain was wind pain, my tummy only hurt a tiny bit after day 2, I had to hold the right side while walking as it felt like it was pulling... But everyone is different. The food, day 1 I was just on water, day 2 it was like chicken stock, I found that the hardest tbh, trying to get soup/stock and water down took so much effort due to the stomach swelling. But day three I started purées and then I feel I did really well with the food, little and often is best, the hardest for me is getting enough fluid, but I'm getting there. I am 3 weeks post op and have only had 2 days where I have felt hungry..
I don't drive, but the nurse said to drive when you feel you can do an emergency stop safely without hurting yourself, and you have to ask your insurance provider as they have terms for when you have had major surgery. And alcohol is a no no for Atleast 12 months, and even then it's a limit.. I don't drink often anyway, so that doesn't bother me. But again, this depends where you are, who is doing your wls and their rules.

Where are you and where are you having it done?
