aww hun, glad you're home but migraines suck xxx have you tried solpadiene? They're dissovable and get rid of the migraines I have?
thats good, i know sleeping helps me when I get them. You should ask your dr for something stronger, like Acupan or Gabapentine (sp). both my mum and sister have had back surgery and this is what they take for pain relief, as nothing else works for them. My sis is allergic to morphine as well, so it limits what she can have.
I get told he can't give me anything too strong and I think it's down to suffering with depression... Doesn't want me to have something too strong "incase" that's what I think anyway... Xx

Can you wear pain patches? I used to wear them all the time. Many different types n strengths x previous bander, revision to by pass.
I do t know, nothing had ever been mentioned about them... I might make an appointment to see my doctor and ask about them, will give me one less tablet to worry about I guess... Thanks x

oh yeh, morphine patches, my sis had them too, until she found out she was allergic to them as well lolshes an enigma, thats for certain!!
why would giving you another tablet make you any more susceptible to you know what?? if you wanted to, you'd take all your antidepressants!! stupid drs!! lol (Ps im not trivialising it, thats not how i want it to come across). Its like only being able to have 1 packet of paracetamol from a shop. If you were intent on doing it, you would go to a hundred shops!! what i mean is just cos youve got depression, it shouldnt naturally follow that you want to harm yourself.
............ i know what i mean, its just not sounding right written down lol
i totally get what youre saying Tina, its how i feel but not sure why he wont change them.. took him almost 10 months to change me from solpodol to tramodol.. tramodol help me sleep when they counter react with my anti depressents but thats about it, i only take them through the day when i cant cope with the pain, or im off to the gym.. well, ive only been concentrating on my tummy in the past 3 weeks and havent even thought about my back even though it has hurt but im more concerned with my tummy than my back..
starting to get my routine back again now.. actually sat and watched the soaps last night for the first time since i stated the pre op diet! dad is home from his holiday, and family shopping starts again tomorrow, though im not looking forward to sitting in McDonalds watching the rest of my family eat yummy, but fatty, unhealthy foods!! i may have to get my sister to order it all for them as i may just cry! lol but im going to weigh myself too, as i normally use the scales at the shopping centre more regularly so thats what weight i go by now, and ill be using thursdays as weigh in days but hopefully (dont want to get obsessed) only fortnightly. rang the hospital just to ask when i can start back at the gym or swimming, to be told ive got to wait till my first post of check on the 12th March for the all clear from them. im so bored and have nothing to do! i dont know my area well as i have never looked around, ive got a friend who lives down the road who had a bypass done last year and she goes on regular walks with her dogs, said ill join her on some but not today as ive done a bit of cleaning in my flat and am very tired still from yesterdays migraine.. i may get dressed and go for a wander down to her house shortly though. first time ive been on my laptop and posted on here, hence the rant, its so much easier to type on here than on my phone!!!
stopping typing now!!:wave_cry:
Ask to be referred to a pain specialist Hun. previous bander, revision to by pass.
I got weighed again today. Lost another 3.5lb in 9 days. That works out at 10.3kg or 22.7lb a day under 4 weeks!
