Am saying hello with mixed emotions. As I am in tremendous pain and discomfort as well as relived that I have actually made this life changing decision and can’t wait to see the effects already.
A little about me, I live in the west-midlands. I have not always been big till I turned 14 and ever since then there was the slow and steady weight gain. I must say I never actually stuck with a diet for over a week and I never had the will power. At age 23 my biggest weigh-in was 18.4stones a whopping 257.6 pounds.
So I decided to go for a consultation with the lovely Mr Khan at Spire little Aston Clinic, as I definitely knew I would not qualify under the strict NHS funding. After my consultation I made my mind up and on the 04/01/11, I had my operation Gastric sleeve. I can’t wait for the changes in myself.. The only thing am weary about are loose and saggy skins. I have only told my immediate family members about the operation well except for you guys...
I am worried about peoples reaction and would prefer to tell them I have lost the weight through strict diet (Big lie)..I feel like such a cheat though...
I would love to hear from people on how you have coped post op, socially and work life
.
This is the first life changing decision for 2011, many more to come guys..
Love from
